Bloom where you're planted

Took Rick to doctor yesterday. Diagnosis: He's sick and could remain sick for several more days. Keep doing what we're doing, and he'll get better eventually.

But one of the cats tried to jump for the bathroom window (the one above the tub) last night while Rick was taking his bath. She missed the window but managed to claw Rick up pretty good. He has a couple of bad scratches - one right down his cheek from the bottom of the eye socket all the way to his chin - which we have been anointing with Neosporin.

Well, it's been more than 24 hours since Rick's last... episode, so we are feeling very hopeful that it's finally all over. When I got home from work, Rick asked for a BIG banana - one THIS BIG (about 2.5 feet long) - but settled for a standard banana. He ate the whole thing and followed it with some applesauce and then with half of a very small pancake (no butter or syrup).

His scratches are healing nicely, too.

Maybe it's really all over... Sure would be nice!
