Yay!
Houston, we have a return to health! Rick seems to be well on the way to recovery. His appetite is not completely back, but he had buttered toast and orange juice this morning, and milk and pb&j for lunch. We went to the zoo this morning and had a good time wearing ourselves out. Rick fell asleep in the car on the way back and is still snoozing.
Tonight, my mother-in-law is coming over for hot dogs and watermelon, and will stick around to watch the fireworks from our porch. This will be the first year that Rick will get to see them (unless you count the year that he was 4 weeks old). (And no, we are not planning on giving Rick a hot dog tonight. His tummy may be getting better, but it's not 100% better yet.)
I'm going to go put my feet up and read for a little bit.
